monuments. Stari Grad lies on
a little peninsula and represents
a treasure box of cultural heritage.

are located, St. Trojica church
which is the tomb of the exquisite
writer, Stjepan Mitrov Ljubisa,
St. Ivans church, the church of
Sv. Bogorodica and the church
of St. Sava. During the summer
months it turns into City Theatre
where numerous shows are performed
from home and abroad. In the Stari
Grad today you can visit many
shops, cafés, restaurants
and galleries. Monasteries Stanjevici,
Podostrog, Rezevici i Gradiste
are important historic and religious
