The Moroccan property market is still at the emerging stage but is beginning to grow quickly. The growth in tourism is creating a demand for rental accommodation which in turn opens the door for "buy to let" investors to generate solid rental yields.
Although positioned as a ‘lifestyle’ purchase destination Morocco allows investors to consider both the “buy to let” strategy as well as a “ pure investment” one with capital appreciation levels ranging from 15%-30%
Asilah is an elegant coastal town with rich history and a population of around 20.000 people. First impressions are of the wonderful ramparts and turrets built by the Portuguese in the 1500’s. The town is completely surrounded by these Portuguese defensive walls.
There are extensive beaches and a natural harbour on the northwest side of the town. To the north of Asilah lie beach resorts with wide avenues and a pretty palm lined seafront promenade where you will find some of town’s best restaurants - many owned and run by Spanish people. There are also plenty of little cafes to choose from. You will find everything you need in Asilah including bars, banks, chemists, hospital, church, numerous hotels and a variety of little Moroccan shops. The fishing port is a pleasant place for a stroll and there are plans for a Yacht Marina.
Golfers will be pleased to know that the 18 hole par 70 Tangier Golf Course can be reached in under 30 minutes.
This northern Atlantic coastal area falls into the Mediterranean climate zone bringing mild wet winters and dry warm summers.
